Who We Are
Our mission is to help homeless families with children achieve sustainable independence.
Since 2004, Family Promise of Summit County has been dedicated to helping families facing homelessness remain together and achieve lasting independence. Our approach focuses on trauma-informed case management, financial literacy education, and mentoring services to tackle the underlying causes of poverty and homelessness. We are proud to be an affiliate of the national Family Promise organization.
Family Promise began in 1986 in New Jersey. Today, the organization includes over 200 affiliates, including our Summit County branch, operating across 43 states. It stands as the leading national nonprofit addressing family homelessness.
