Family Promise of Summit County has served hundreds of families struggling with homelessness. During these challenging economic times, it can be difficult to provide temporary housing to families in transition. The organization relies on community volunteers and supporters to make a difference for these local families in need.
“It is always a day of joy for me to get to spend time with so many of our volunteers who come from all over Summit county to support the work we do and celebrate our efforts,” said Pamela Betty, director of Family Promise of Summit County.
In 2011, Walk a Mile in My Shoes raised more than $6,000. Proceeds from the event go directly to Family Promise.
