FAMILY PROMISE LAUNCH FUND
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Family Promise Launch Fund is a collaborative resource designed to provide assistance to clients served by Family Promise of Summit County, the United Way Bridges Out of Poverty Summit County Collaborative, and/or the Summit County Re-Entry Network. Assistance is in the form of a no-interest loan when it promotes long-term family independence, self-sustainability and personal accountability. The pay back system on these no interest loans is manageable and supportive of the recipient’s long term goals.

Loans will be distributed to low-income individuals to help eliminate barriers to accessing the resources they need to achieve their goals. Loans can be used for certifications, uniforms, work boots, education expenses and other employment related expenses

Applicants should contact a case worker to determine eligibility. Eligible applicants must complete an intake with a case worker, determine a manageable payment plan and attend a financial literacy class sessions. Once the application process is complete, funds will be distributed directly to the entity in which the applicant is applying for. The application process may take up to 60 days.

Please contact Erica Ward, Case Manager, Family Promise of Summit County for more information.
